Emergencies & Getting Help

Nobody wants to think about emergencies while traveling, but knowing these phrases could make a critical difference. 'Ayuda' (Help), 'Necesito un doctor' (I need a doctor), and 'Me duele...' (It hurts...) are phrases you should know cold. Practice them so they come automatically when you need them — in an emergency, you won't have time to think.
