Everyday Situations
Ordering food in English follows a predictable script, which is great news for learners. Once you know the pattern — greet, ask, order, follow up — you can handle almost any restaurant or cafe. The most important thing to remember is politeness: use 'Could I...' or 'I'd like...' instead of 'I want...' or 'Give me...'. Even a simple 'please' at the end of a sentence makes a big difference.
